About the Role
As an Employment Pathways Case Manager (SLES and Inclusive Employment Australia), you will deliver personalised employment supports to individuals with developmental disabilities through the School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and Inclusive Employment Australia programs. Managing a diverse caseload, you will support participants of varying ages and abilities to build skills, increase independence, and pursue meaningful employment. The role involves travel across South Australia and working from various Barkuma locations. A strong commitment to participant development, safeguarding, and person-centred practice is essential to achieving positive, lasting outcomes.
This role requires providing assistance and support to vulnerable individuals, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Key responsibilities
- Prioritise needs of caseload and deliver developmental supports appropriate to everyone with a focus on employment
- Through the process of discovery, identify and implement supports to address participant’s barriers to employment
- Support SMART goal-setting practices and develop a support plan that assists in individuals’ progress toward employment
- Conduct skills assessments to identify skill sets and career counselling to identify suitable employment options
- Provide job search support, negotiate employment opportunities, contribute to placement targets, and deliver on-the-job support and training
- Support caseload to find and maintain employment through a range of supports in line with SLES and Inclusive Employment Australia contracts and guidelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Inclusive Employment Australia contract and NDIS service delivery requirements and records and review monthly caseloads
- Develop and maintain professional relationships and clear communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and Clearances:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ (or willingness to obtain)
- Appropriate Infection Control certificate
- Current DHS Working with Children check
- Appropriate Child Safe Environments certificate
Other Conditions:
- Work rights for Australia
- Ability to work and travel across Barkuma sites
- After hours/weekend will be required
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (restricted P2 licence and above) and motor vehicle insurance
