2016 Transition Program Graduation
On the 23rd of November, we celebrated the hard work and dedication of 65 students from schools across South Australia as they graduated from Barkuma's Transition Program.
This was the 17th class to graduate from the Program which is designed to help final year students with disability or learning difficulties in making the smooth transition from school to future pathways. This year we had 65 students complete the program from 31 different schools across Adelaide.
The Adelaide Convention Centre has been a fantastic supporter of the event over the years and once again hosted the Ceremony. Students received their certificates from Nat Cook MP (Member for Fisher) who addressed the audience then posed in our photo booth with some of the students. We also had the pleasure of having new ambassador Matt Tarrant MC the evening, who spoke from the heart, congratulating and offering words of advice from his own personal experience.
Many of our graduating students will now enter the workforce, some have made the decision to return to school and others are moving on to further studies.
Congratulations to all graduating students!
